Lakers Woes Continue Fall To Mavericks 103-93
- Updated: November 2, 2015
The Los Angeles Lakers looked to get their first win of the season at home on Sunday night and were unable to rally back and beat the Dallas Mavericks as they fell 103-93.
Dallas never trailed in last night’s game and makes it the 8th straight time the Mavericks have beat the Lakers. You could say that Dirk Nowitzki and the Mavs put the game away early starting the game with a 15-0 run.
Dirk ended up with 25 points on 10/13 shooting to go along with 9 boards. Zaza Pachulia added a double-double with 16 points and 12 rebounds. Deron Williams and Wesley Matthews also reached double figures with 11 and 10 respectively. Off the bench J.J. Barea and Raymond Felton added 10 and 11 as well.
For the Lakers Julius Randle had a strong game. He had 22 points, 15 rebounds to go along with 4 steals and 4 assists. Kobe Bryant struggled but reached double figures with 15 points. D’Angelo Russell, Brandon Bass, and Lou Williams also reached double figures as well.
The Lakers struggled from behind the arch going just 10/34. Defense is still a problem for the team as they allowed 40 points in the paint and allowed the Mavericks to shoot 46% from the field.
Up next the Purple and Gold will take on the Denver Nuggets tomorrow night at Staples Center. Hopefully the team can get their first win.
