Lakers Struggle Against Hawks

The Los Angeles Lakers struggled on Friday night against the Atlanta Hawks falling 106-77. With the loss Los Angles has lost two in a row.

Julius Randle led the way in scoring with 16 points and 10 rebounds for the Lakers. He was the only starter in double-figures as D’Angelo Russell struggled from the field.

Anthony Brown and Nick Young both started last night. Jordan Clarkson and Kobe Bryant were both out due to various injuries.

Brandon Bass and Marcelo Huertas reached double-figures off the bench with 12 and 10 points respectively.  On the other side Atlanta had 6 guys reach double figures.

Kyle Korver who is having a down season shooting the basketball scored 15 points with Jeff Teague chipping in 12 points and 8 assists.

Paul Millsap added 11 points and Kent Bazemore scored 10 of his own. Off the bench Dennis Schroder scored 16 points in just 18 minutes. Newcomer Kris Humphries added 14 points off the bench as well.

The Hawks shot 54% from the field compared to the Lakers 34%. Los Angeles also connected on just 19% of their three point attempts.

Up next Los Angeles will take on the Golden State Warriors on Sunday afternoon.
