Lakers Fall In Closing Seconds To TimberWolves 120-119
- Updated: November 29, 2014
Minnesota TimberWolves rookie Zach LaVine had a homecoming last night as he scored 28 to the lead the TimberWolves over the Lakers 120-119. For Lakers fans it has been a long season and last night was no different. The Lakers were coming off a loss to the Memphis Grizzlies and were looking to right the ship.
Zach LaVine scored 18 points in the 3rd quarter in his NBA game against the Lakers. LaVine old ESPN.com this about the experience:
“It was really cool coming back here and being able to play here. I was even playing against my childhood idol out there,” LaVine said. “I’m really surprised he missed that shot. That scared me at the end.”
The Lakers were in control of the game the entire night. Kobe Bryant scored 26 points, grabbed 5 rebounds, dished 5 assists, and was able to get 5 steals.
It seems as though Nick Young improves immensely when girlfriend, Iggy Azalea, is in the house. Swaggy P ended the game with 16 points off the bench.
Dear @IGGYAZALEA, You need to attend every Lakers game. Because, Nick Young. Thanks, #LakersNation

Wesley Johnson added 19 points while hitting four 3 pointers. The big problem for the Lakers though, was on the defensive end. They allowed the timberwolves to shoot 57% from the field and 56% from three. Head coach Byron Scott did not hold back his frustration with the Lakers, saying:
“There’s nobody in this league that we should be looking at thinking, ‘This is an easy win,’ “he boomed beating the table as he spoke. “Period.”
Kobe Bryant missed two free throws in the final minute but made up for it with a clutch mid-range jumper over two defenders. However, he did go on to miss the game winning three-pointer as time expired. Check out his clutch shot below:
It has been a tough month for the Lakers and they will host the Toronto Raptors tomorrow night at 6:30 pm, and it will be no easy task for the Lakers as the Raptors are 13-3 on the year.
