Klay Thompson’s Career Night Too Much For Lakers

Klay Thompson scored a career high 41 points as the Golden State Warriors beat the Los Angeles Lakers 127-104 Saturday tonight. Klay Thompson showed fans and people around the league why he is worth the reported 4 year $70 million dollar contract extension.

Stephen Curry added a double double of his own in tonight’s contest. He scored 31 points and dished out ten assists.  The splash brothers combined for 72 points.

Kobe Bryant did everything he could t keep the Lakers in the ball game. He scored 19 of his 28 points in third quarter included a variety of difficult shots. The Lakers kept the game close but things fell apart in the fourth quarter and lost their fourth game in five nights.

Kobe Bryant ended up with 28 points on 12-28 shooting. Bryant did have 7 turnovers in the game as well. Jordan Hill continued his strong start to the young center. The former Arizona Wildcat center totaled 23 points on 10-14 shooting. Ed Davis has also started the season off strong for the Lakers off the bench. He put together a solid game, chipping in 13 points and six rebounds.

The Lakers defense struggled tonight. The Warriors shot 55% from the floor, and 48% from the three-point line. While the Warriors hit 11 three pointers the Lakers hit just 4.

With the loss the Lakers fall to 0-4, which puts them off to the worst start in franchise history since moving to Los Angeles. The Lakers will head back home and prepare for their next opponent the Phoenix Suns.

The Lakers will play the Suns on Tuesday, November 4th at 7:30 at the Staples Center.
