Dodgers Swept By Giants, Fall 4-0

The Los Angeles Dodgers woes continued at AT&T Park today as they were shutout for the third consecutive game and loss 4-0. This is the 4th loss in a row for the Dodgers.
Clayton Kershaw got the start today for the Boys in Blue. He pitched 7.1 innings allowing 7 hits and 4 runs. He struck out 7 and also walked 2. He picked his 3rd loss of the season.
For the defending champs Madison Bumgarner was on the bump. He pitched 6.1 innings allowing 7 hits. He also struck out 6 and walked 2. He was awarded his 5th win of the year.
Bumgarner got the offense started for the Giants in the 3rd inning. He hit a solo shot to left that gave the Giants a 1-0 lead.
In the 4th inning Hunter Pence hit a RBI single to right that brought Angel Pagan. This gave the Giants a 2-0 advantage.
It was Pence again in the 8th inning that came through with another RBI single. This time he hit an RBI infield single that brought Pagan again. Brandon Crawford followed with a RBI single to center that brought in Buster Posey and the Giants held the lead at 4-0.
George Kontos and Javier Lopez finished the 7th inning for the Giants. Sergio Romo gave up 1 hit and struck out 1 in the 8th, and Santiago Casilla walked 1 and struck out 1 in the 9th.
For the Dodgers Chris Hatcher gave up 1 hit in his appearance, and Paco Rodriguez gave up 1 hit in 2/3 of inning of work.
The Dodgers will try to rebound when they head home to face the San Diego Padres tomorrow night at 7:10 p.m. PST.
