The Clippers have been in the middle of numerous rumors as they are tied to Austin Rivers and even Nate Robinson. Jones has been in the D-league this season with the Fort Wayne Mad Ants. He has been playing excellent basketball for them during their six game winning streak. He is averaging 18 points per game during the streak, and scored 30 points tonight. Check out the highlights of tonight’s game below.
Jones has spent over ten years in the NBA before being cut last fall by the Utah Jazz. He spoke to Fortwayne.com about his experiences with the Mad Ants.
“It was well worth it to sacrifice, come in and humble myself and play basketball, and kind of fall back in love with the game,” Jones said. “I try to enjoy helping my teammates, enjoy getting back in shape and enjoy trying to make something special happen, on any level of basketball. It’s about communicating and trying to make people better. This has been a great situation for me.
The Clippers take on the Portland Trail Blazers tomorrow night at the Staples Center. Jones is best known for his defense which is something the Clippers are looking to improve at the wing position.
