Blake Griffin Scores 45, Hits Buzzer Beater To Beat Suns 121-120 In OT

The royal family saw an NBA game tonight in Brooklyn which featured the Cleveland Cavaliers and Brooklyn Nets. If they wanted to see real NBA action, they would have made the trip to Los Angeles as the Los Angeles Clippers beat the Phoenix Suns in overtime in dramatic fashion.

Blake Griffin scored 45 points, including a game winning three in overtime to push the Clippers past the Suns 121-120. This win extended the Clippers winning streak to eight in a row.

The Clippers beat the Pelicans last time out 120-100 but tonight was drastically different. While the Suns and Clippers had already met once this season, Eric Bledsoe made his presence felt in the simplest of terms.

Bledsoe’s career night was spoiled by Griffin’s heroics but he played his heart out. Bledsoe had his first triple double of his career as he scored 27 points, dished 16 assists, and grabbed 11 rebounds in the loss.

He also had a huge defensive play, as he blocked Chris Paul’s three-point attempt at the end of regulation that would have won the Clippers the game.

Markieff Morris hit two big threes in overtime which looked as if sealed the game. He ended up with 21 points and six rebounds. The Suns shot the ball extremely well from three, as they connected on 16 three pointers.

For the Clippers Blake Griffin was the difference. Griffin took over in the fourth quarter and overtime as he went on to score 45 points in the win. Chris Paul scored 20 points and had 10 assists but was just 1-9 from three-point land.

Sixth man Jamal Crawford was ejected in the fourth quarter of tonight’s game after receiving his second technical foul. Crawford ended up with 9 points.
