Blackhawks Snap LA Kings 7 Game Winning Streak

The Chicago Blackhawks snapped the LA Kings 7 game winning streak 4-2. The Kings came into last night’s game riding high but the Hawks found a way to push 4 goals across and the Kings.

The first period was full of goals. Jonathan Toews scored a wrist shot goal that was assisted by Ryan Garbutt and Artemi Panarin. For Toews that was his 5th goal of the year.

Alec Martinez answered with a slap shot goal later in the period. Kyle Clifford and Jake Muzzin were credited with the assist. For Martinez it was his 1st goal of the season.

Anze Kopitar put a slap shot in the net with less 2 minutes left in the period. His 4th goal of the year was assisted by Muzzin and Trevor Lewis. After the first period the Kings led 2-1.

The second period featured no goals as both goaltenders made some great saves. The Hawks outshot the Kings 8-6 in the period but the LA Kings held a 2-1 lead heading into the final period.

Kings’ fans probably wish the game would have ended after 2 periods as the Hawks took complete control. Patrick Kane scored a wrist shot goal that was assisted by Brent Seabrook and Viktor Svedberg. For Kane it was his 7th goal of the year.

Teuvo Teravainen scored a wrist shot goal that was assisted by Kane and Anisimov. The Hawks added insult to injury when they pushed another one across and went on to win 4-2.

The Kings will travel to St.Louis to take on the Blues tonight as they look to get back in the win column.
